As a child I loved to watch cooking shows, such as "The Galloping Gourmet" and Julia Child.I used to pretend that I had my own restaurant. My favorite class in high school was home economics. I still have the recipe handouts from the class. I started my catering career by accident. I just used to cook for office parties because I enjoyed it. It was always my dream to go to Paris to study at Le Cordon Bleu, but I never got there. I began studying restaurant management in college, but quickly realized that I just wanted to COOK. In 1996, I attended The New York Restaurant School where I earned a certificate in Culinary Arts. After interning at a restaurant named Bistro Latino and eventually staying on to work my way up to the chef in charge of the daytime shift again I fell back into catering. Catering is truly my passion. Maybe, it's the rush I get when everything is crazy. I just know that I love it. I've cooked for everyone former Mayor Rudy Giuliani to the Rockefellers. But, by far the greatest satisfaction for me is making my clients happy. Currently, I cater in New York as well as Trinidad and Tobago, which is where I am originally from. I love going back home and doing what I love while I'm there. I always say that Catering "is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get".
