Marco Torres got his start in the restaurant business as a young child in Mexico City, Mexico. Seeking adventure as a young man he decided to move to Pasadena, CA, where he worked as a manager at Holiday Inn. Next, he moved to Buffalo, NY and worked as beverage coordinator. He then decided to go back to his homeland, Mexico and managed a Spanish Restaurant. He did this for the next 6 years until adventure called him again. He then moved to New Jersey in 1986 and worked various jobs in the restaurant business. He soon worked his way up to become maitre d' at popular city restaurants and since 2004 Marco Torres is the maitre d' at the Pointe restaurant in Jersey City, NJ.
