Chef Olof Jakobsdóttir now 28 years old trained at her family restaurant Hornid in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland during the years 2006 to 2010. Her father Chef Jakob Magnusson chef and owner of Hornid was her mentor and inspiration.  Chef Olof knew from an early age that she was destined for a career in the kitchen. She has watched her father run the family business and helped out in the kitchen since she was just a little girl.

Chef Olof has worked at various restaurants in Scandinavia. She has worked at Hotel Legoland, Denmark, Hotel Saga, Iceland,  Geranium, Denmark where she worked with Rasmus Kofoed winner of the Bocuse d´Or 2011.

Chef Olof is currently the executive chef at her family restaurant Hornid, which has been lauded and loved by locals for years.
