Roland A. Iadanza’s interest in food started at an early age growing up in an Italian household. Chef Roland took a “Cooking for Enjoyment” class at Plainedge High School in North Massapequa and worked at his brothers Carvel in Bethpage decorating cakes. This led him to pursue an education in Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. He then went on to train at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida working in several restaurants in the Lake Buena Vista area. He has worked at such renowned properties as the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, Restaurant Bruzells in Great Neck and Harrison Conference in Glen Cove. Chef Roland is currently the Executive Chef/Director of Sales of Great Eastern Pasta Works, also very well known as Pasta People in West Babylon, New York. Pasta People manufacture’s unique Ravioli and fresh pasta products that supply many fine food service establishments in the New York Metro area. He created a unique sales presentation through cooking demonstrations of high quality Ravioli and Fresh Pasta Products. Chef Roland runs a voluntary job placement for Chefs and Cooks. “It gives me great pleasure to assist food service personnel to obtain positions they are seeking.” Chef Roland has received honors from the American Culinary Federation such as, Chef of the Year 2004, Presidents Award 2003, Chef Professional 2003 and Member of the Year 2002. He also participates in Charity Functions such as the Evening of Good Taste to benefit South Nassau Hospital and is on the steering committee for The Morgan Center in Plainview which is a school for young children with cancer. The Morgan Center Event is held every March at Southward Ho Country Club in West Bayshore, New York. Chef Roland invites several Restaurants, Food Service Professionals and Food Vendors to participate each year. Chef Roland resides in Commack with his wife Lisa and daughters Gina and Krista.
