Saul started cooking at age 19, working in a local continental restaurant in Long Island, NY for 4 years and worked his way up until he became the a la carte chef. He left the restaurant to continue his training. He accepted a job at Da Pino, a fine dining Italian restaurant, working the front and back of the house. In 1993, he started working at the well-known restaurant Matteo’s. In the years Saul was with Matteo’s he was successful in assisting with expanding the popular restaurant group. After 17 years, it was time for Saul to venture off on his own. Now he is excited about his newest venture as Executive Chef and partner of 388 Restaurant in Roslyn, NY, serving up his style of New-American cuisine and putting Saul’s ethnic twist on old world classics.
