Tom has been working in the food service business from the age of 14. Aspiring to be a professional hockey player, unfortunately a injury put this dream out of his reach. This unfortunate incident made Tom change his career goals. The obvious choice is what he knew and what he loved Cooking. He obtained a position with the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center. Under Executive Chef Tom Macrina he worked his way through the ranks and entered into the American Chef Association's apprentice program. He has since earned his Certified Culinarian certification. As he is now the Kitchen Manager of the Desmond he continues to further his Culinary Education. He hopes to open his own restaurant and mentor young students in the culinary field. Tom Gibson is a proud supporter of the ALS Charity Organization where he uses his culinary expertise to raise charitable contribution to support his cause.
