Axel Björn Clausen started his training at Grand Hotel, Reykjavik, Iceland in 2007 and graduated in 2010. During the training period he became an assistant in the chef of the year competition and joined the "Young Chefs" of Iceland movement. As a "Young Chefs" member in 2011 Axel went with 4 others to compete in Dublin for Iceland and they received a Gold Metal. Since then he continues to assist the Icelandic culinary team and will go as an assistant to the next World Cup. His ambition is to become a full member after that competition. Axel is a sous chef at the Fishmarket, Reykjavik, Iceland.
