I am a culinary instructor in Howard County, Maryland and have been teaching for fifteen years. My fields of expertise are Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Asian cuisines. My goal in teaching is to show my students that you can make "restaurant quality" meals at home once you learn the secrets that chefs have acquired over the years from their experiences in professional kitchens. I became interested in cooking at an early age and worked at a "burgerdoodle" while in high school. When in the Coast Guard Reserves I was the Admiral's weekend chef. After attending Johnson & Wales University I worked for The Hilton chain, Wintergreen Ski Resort, a Lebanese Restaurant as Executive Chef, Alexander's on the Bay, a kosher caterer and an up-scale dine in/carry-out restaurant. I now teach International and American regional cuisines and do small scale catering. I have found a real passion in cooking, traveling and teaching. There is a sense of accomplishment when introducing people to great "home" cooking that taste like it came from their favorite restaurant!
