Patrick Longton,Professional Chef
Chef Biography: Patrick began his Culinary career with an apprenticeship under Chef George Hoffis C.C.E.,C.E.C. Since then, he improved his culinary skills in Sous Chef positions at area establishments such as Donovan’s Restaurant, under Chef William Hohenstein III C.E.C., Panzas Restaurant, under Chef Phillip Fitzpatrick, and the Sheraton Hotel, under Chef Mark Winzer. He then took on the position of Executive Chef at Longfellows Hotel and Restaurant. Opening in 1996, staying until Nov 2005.Then moving on to the Executive Chef Position at The Georgian Hotel & Resort on Lake George, N.Y. The Georgian is owned and operated by IT Hospitality, and The Panoramic Group of Companies. In Dec.2005, While working for IT Hospitality and The Panoramic Group, Patrick traveled to the City of Pune, India and assisted in the Grand Opening of Pancard Clubs “Area 51” the first and only U.F.O. style revolving multi-Cuisine Restaurant in all of India. Patrick has also executed Ice Sculptures for many events including the Regional Food banks 25th anniversary, and the Grand opening of "Vapor" at Racino. Patrick competed in the 1994, 1995 and 1997 ACF Cuisine Magic Hot Food competitions winning ACF Silver Medals each year. In 1995, Patrick led the culinary team for the Sheraton Hotel, Saratoga, in the ACF Culinary Cornucopia Hot Food Competition, winning an ACF Silver Medal. In 2000, he led the team for Longfellows in the ACF Culinary Cornucopia, winning the Coveted Grand Award, including 1st place appetizer, Highest Overall Score, and an ACF Silver Medal. Patrick also led the Culinary Team for Longfellows in the 2000 Cuisine Magic and 2001 Culinary Cornucopia Competitions, winning an ACF Silver Medal in each competition. In 2003, he competed in the Annual Saratoga Chowder Festival, winning the award of 1st place. In 2005 he took 1st Place at the Saratoga Springs "Iron Chef" Competition. Currently as Executive Chef at The Wishing Well Restaurant, Patrick received the award of excellence from The Chaine des Rotisseurs for hosting a seven course wine & food tasting dinner on September 12th 2010. Chef Patricks cooking style leans toward creative rustic American cuisine with strong French and Asian influences.
