I was born in Queens, NY and took an early interest in cooking traditional Italian fare with my Sicilian and Neapolitan grandmothers. As a teenager I worked as a cook and assistant chef in the high volume catering halls on Long Island. This led me to pursue an education in Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island.
My prior culinary experiences include being an Executive chef for the opening team of a national restaurant chain, a banquet manager for a multi ballroom catering facility, R & D Chef for a national spice and flavor company and a chef /owner of a regional Italian restaurant.
At this time I am the Director of the Culinary Arts Program for the Elizabeth Board of Education in Elizabeth, NJ.
