Chef Rene Bien, a third generation chef has been passionately involved with natural foods since 1980. After completing her degree from Tufts University in Fine Arts, she studied cooking at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). She also studied energy medicine, natural foods and traditional healing nutrition at the Kushi Institute in Boston, MA She has lived in Spain and traveled extensively through Europe gathering recipes and incorporating them into her personal and creative cooking style. A former caterer and private dining club chef, she served as Executive Chef/Owner of Organica Restaurant in Berkeley, CA. Recently Chef Rene worked as private chef, cooking instructor and party planner to several high-profile clients in San Francisco, CA.
