Scott had early beginnings into the hospitality business as a young child working in his way through the ranks at their family owned restaurant in Media, PA called the Campbell’s Boat House. He is a graduate from Walnut Hill College Restaurant School with his Associates in Culinary Arts. During his time in college, he performed the position of Captain on the Junior Culinary Olympic Team in 2004, winning various medals during competitions hosted in Ireland, Scotland and in Erfurt, Germany. Later he worked at the private Westchester Country Club for 2 years in Rye, NY as an apprentice for Master Chef, Edward Leonard. Once he finished the apprenticeship program he transferred jobs to the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Malvern PA under Chef Tom Macrina. As the Restaurant Sous Chef, he was happy to come back to the place close to his heart, home. Two years later, he was offered the Executive Chef position at Downingtown Country Club, Downingtown, PA. At the public and private club, Scott is in charge of running the restaurant, and banquet facility for booked events, maintaining this position for up to 3 years. He is very involved with ACF as an active professional member assisting in co-founding a chef connection mentor program called “The Chef Sessions” in ’09. with the Philadelphia Chapter; while coaching the student culinary team to inspire more students looking to train in this field.
