Reykjavik, Iceland

Chef Stefan was born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1967. His culinary inspiration came at an early age, at the age of fourteen he was already working in the kitchen at his father’s restaurant. He knew early on what he was destined to do and he enrolled into a culinary school in Iceland. He graduated from Hotel og Veitingaskolinn, Reykjavik, Iceland in 1988. He started his career in Reykjavik at Restaurant Potturinn og Pannan and since then he has worked at various restaurants in Iceland and Europe. For the past several years he has worked at his family restaurant ´Three Frenchman´ located in downtown Reykjavik. The restaurant is well known for their delicious fish entrees, and other specialties including whale meat and sea bird.
