A light and healthy hors d'ouevre for your next cocktail party or just a great snack! Julienne vegetables dressing in a miso dressing wrapped in rice paper. You will need a mandolin for this recipe or you can go the easy route and buy Julienne vegetables at your local supermarket!


  •  As Needed Miso Dressing
  • 1
  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) Zucchini, julienned
  • 2
  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) Yellow Squash, julienned
  • 3
  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) Red Peppers, julienned
  • 4
  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) Blanched Carrots, julienned
  • 5
  • 1  Each Spring Roll Skin or Rice Paper
  • 6


    1. Add all julienned vegetables to a large mixing bowl
    2. Pour miso dressing over vegetables and mix to evenly coat
    3. Submerge rice paper into room temperature water for 30 seconds
    4. Remove from water and place flat on a carving board
    5. Flatten out rice paper
    6. Place about 2" diameter of julienned vegetables lengthwise on rice paper from end to end
    7. Take end of rice paper and flip over vegetables, tucking in tightly
    8. Roll paper up, making a tight roll
    9. Cut off each end and discard
    10. Cut each roll about 1"
    11. Serve and enjoy!

    Miso Dressing


  • 1 1/2 Cup(s) White Wine
  • 1 1/2 Cup(s) Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup(s) Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Pound(s) White Miso Paste
  • Directions

    1. In a small skillet on medium heat, add white wine, sugar and rice wine vinegar
    2. Bring ingredients to a simmer and whisk
    3. Add miso paste and whisk into mixture until smooth
    4. Refrigerate and let cool

timing question

i have the julienne veggies marinating in the miso dressing now. I need to have these for 7pm tonight. how far ahead can i make the rolls? thanks
