Watch chef Fridleifur make creamy celeriac puree that goes well with any fish as well as meat. This celeriac puree is a worthy competitor to mashed potato.


  • 2 1/2  Cup(s) Celeriac root, cubed
  • 1
  • 3  Cup(s) Milk
  • 2
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Butter, optional
  • 3
  •  To Taste Salt
  • 4


    1. Cut and peal Celeriac.
    2. Place in a small pot.
    3. Pour whole milk over it, just enough to cover.
    4. Bring to boil.
    5. Lower heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
    6. Blend to make a smooth puree.
    7. For a richer texture you can add butter to the puree.
    8. Season with salt.
    9. Serve and enjoy!
