Description

Thinly sliced red onions marinated for 24 hours in hot sauce then dredged in flour and fried until golden brown. The best accompaniment for a nice juicy burger!


Ingredients

  • 1  Each Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1
  • 2  Cup(s) Hot Sauce (of your preference)
  • 2
  • 2  Cup(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 3
  • 1  Quart(s) Neutral Oil (for frying)
  • 4
  •  To Taste Salt & Pepper
  • 5

Directions

    1. Marinate red onions in hot sauce for 24 hours
    2. Strain from hot sauce and dredge in flour to coat evenly
    3. Shake off excess flour
    4. Heat oil to 350 degrees
    5. When temperature is reached, slowly add onions
    6. Using a spider strainer, push around onions in oil to fry evenly
    7. fry for about 2 - 3 minutes or until golden brown
    8. Remove from oil and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil
    9. Immediately season with salt and pepper
    10. Enjoy!
