Fried Onion Rings

Description
Thinly sliced red onions marinated for 24 hours in hot sauce then dredged in flour and fried until golden brown. The best accompaniment for a nice juicy burger!
Ingredients
- 1 Each Red Onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Cup(s) Hot Sauce (of your preference)
- 2 Cup(s) All Purpose Flour
- 1 Quart(s) Neutral Oil (for frying)
- To Taste Salt & Pepper
Directions
- Marinate red onions in hot sauce for 24 hours
- Strain from hot sauce and dredge in flour to coat evenly
- Shake off excess flour
- Heat oil to 350 degrees
- When temperature is reached, slowly add onions
- Using a spider strainer, push around onions in oil to fry evenly
- fry for about 2 - 3 minutes or until golden brown
- Remove from oil and place on a wire rack to drain excess oil
- Immediately season with salt and pepper
- Enjoy!
