Description

Fusilli Pasta with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh garlic, prosciutto and fresh basil.


Ingredients

  • 1  Pound(s) Fusilli Pasta, cooked al dente
  • 1
  • 1  Cup(s) Onions, chopped
  • 2
  • 5  Each Garlic Cloves, sliced
  • 3
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Prosciutto, diced
  • 4
  • 6  Cup(s) San Marzano Tomatoes, crushed
  • 5
  • 10  Each Basil Leaves, chiffonade
  • 6
  • 1/4  Cup(s) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 7
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Butter
  • 8
  •  To Taste Salt & Pepper
  • 9
  •  Pinch Red Pepper Flakes
  • 10
  •  To Taste Parmesan Cheese, grated (for garnish)

Directions

    1. Add olive oil to saute pan over medium high heat
    2. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, saute garlic until lightly golden
    3. Add onions and saute until soft
    4. Add prosciutto, stir to combine and cook until golden brown
    5. Add tomatoes and basil
    6. Season with salt and pepper
    7. Stir to combine and cook for 8 minutes
    8. Taste and Season if necessary
    9. Finish off with butter, mix to melt in with sauce
    10. Add pasta to sauce and toss to combine
    11. Let cook for another 2 minutes
    12. Plate up and garnish with Parmesan cheese and basil
