Description

This Sausage Stuffing recipe is a great stuffing for a turkey for your next Sunday family meal or for those special holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. It can also be served as a side dish with your everyday meals.


Ingredients

  • 1/4  Cup(s) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1
  • 1  Pound(s) Italian Sweet Sausage
  • 2
  • 1  Pound(s) White Bread, cubed, toasted
  • 3
  • 1  Cup(s) Celery, diced
  • 4
  • 1  Cup(s) Onions, diced
  • 5
  • 4  Ounce(s) Weight Butter
  • 6
  • 4  Cup(s) Turkey or Chicken Stock
  • 7
  •  To Taste Fresh Sage
  • 8
  •  To Taste Fresh Thyme
  • 9
  •  To Taste Salt
  • 10
  •  To Taste Pepper

Directions

    1. Remove sausage from casings
    2. In a hot saute pan, add olive oil and heat on medium high
    3. Once butter is melted, add sausage to pan and break up
    4. Let brown in pan for about 2 minutes
    5. Once browned, add onion and celery
    6. Season with salt, pepper, thyme and sage
    7. Add stock and reduce down for 3 - 4 minutes
    8. Turn off flame and add cubed bread
    9. Mix well to combine
    10. Taste and Season if necessary
    11. Serve and enjoy!
