Description

Sushi is all about the seasoned rice!


Ingredients

  • 4  Cup(s) Japanese Short Grain Rice
  • 1
  • 4  Cup(s) Water
  • 2
  • 2  Each Kelp
  • 3

Directions

    1. Add kelp on top of rice before cooking rice
    2. Steam rice for 10 minutes
    3. Transfer the cooked rice into a wooden bowl, remove the kelp
    4. Remove kelp from sushi vinegar, quickly fold in sushi vinegar with rice
    5. Let rice cool as quickly as possible to get shiny
    6. Cover the rice with a damp cloth

    Sushi Vinegar

    Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup(s) Rice Vinegar
  • 3 Table Spoon(s) Sugar
  • 3 Tea Spoon(s) Salt
  • 2 Each Kelp
  • Directions

    1. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, salt and kelp in a small pot
    2. Heat until sugar is dissolved
