Chef Rick uses a fire pit to smoke his chicken but don't worry, you can always use your grill or oven to make it, just make sure you have a great barbecue sauce!

  • 1  Each Half of a Whole Chicken

  •  As Needed Bottled Barbecue Sauce

    1. Liberally season chicken with Rick's Rub
    2. Let sit overnight in rub
    3. Rub barbecue sauce all over chicken
    4. Using a fire pit or your grill with wood chips, place chicken away from fire
    5. Cook at 200 degrees - 250 degrees for 3 to 3 1/2 hours
    6. Flip twice during the time of cooking and brush with barbecue sauce each time you flip it
    7. Cut up chicken, serve and enjoy!
