Texas Smoked Chicken

Description
Chef Rick uses a fire pit to smoke his chicken but don't worry, you can always use your grill or oven to make it, just make sure you have a great barbecue sauce!
Ingredients
- As Needed Rick's Rub
- 1 Each Half of a Whole Chicken
- As Needed Bottled Barbecue Sauce
Directions
- Liberally season chicken with Rick's Rub
- Let sit overnight in rub
- Rub barbecue sauce all over chicken
- Using a fire pit or your grill with wood chips, place chicken away from fire
- Cook at 200 degrees - 250 degrees for 3 to 3 1/2 hours
- Flip twice during the time of cooking and brush with barbecue sauce each time you flip it
- Cut up chicken, serve and enjoy!
