Description

These down South slow cooked beans are so easy to make and delicious. Goes perfectly with Chef Rick's chicken!


Ingredients

  • 2  Cup(s) Dry Pinto Beans
  • 1
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Cayenne Pepper
  • 2
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Black Pepper
  • 3
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Kosher Salt
  • 4
  • 1  Each Medium Onion, chopped
  • 5
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Salt Pork or Bacon, chopped
  • 6
  • 2  Each Pickled Jalepenos, whole
  • 7
  • 2  Quart(s) Water
  • 8
  • 1  Each Garlic Clove (optional)

Directions

    1. In a pot on low to medium heat, add all ingredients
    2. Cook for 3 to 4 hours, until beans are soft to the touch
    3. Serve beans using a slotted spoon to remove excess liquid
