Description

This grill tuna steak recipe is served with salsa and miso paste, simple but delicious.


Ingredients

  • 3  Ounce(s) Weight Tuna
  • 1

Directions

    1. Season with salt and pepper.
    2. Grill on each side for 1 1/2 minutes.
    3. Finish in the oven for couple of minutes at 180 C or 350 F.
    4. Serve with salsa, fried tempura and miso paste.

     

     

     

    Miso Paste

    Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup(s) Miso paste
  • 1 Cup(s) Mirin Sauce
  • Directions

    1. Mix Mirin sauce and miso paste in a pot.
    2. Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
    3. Once it reaches consistency of a thick paste it is done.

     

    Salsa

    Ingredients

  • 1 Each Tomato, medium size
  • 2 Each Garlic, cloves
  • 1 Each Shallot
  • 1/3 Cup(s) Cilantro
  • 1/3 Cup(s) Citrus Oil
  • Directions

    1. Dice tomato, garlic and shallot finely.
    2. Cut cilantro finely.
    3. Add citrus oil.
    4. Combine until nicely mixed together.

    Onion Tempura

    Ingredients

  • 1 Each Onion, medium size
  • 1 Each Chili
  • 6 Each shrimp
  • ¼ Tea Spoon(s) Tempura batter (flour and spices)
  • 1/3 Cup(s) Water
  • Directions

    1. Cut onion into thin slices.
    2. Cut chili into thin discs.
    3. Mix onion, chili and shrimp in a bowl.
    4. Add tempura batter and mix.
    5. Add water and mix well.
    6. Deep fry until golden brown.
    7. One onion make about 4 tempuras.
