A delicious dessert made from fresh apples and blackberries then topped with a brown sugar mixture and baked in the oven. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream to make it even better.


  • 10  Each Honeycrisp Apples, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 1
  • 2  Pint (s) Blackberries
  • 2
  • 1/4  Cup(s) Sugar
  • 3
  • 4  Table Spoon(s) Corn Starch
  • 4


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Spray baking pan with nonstick spray
    3. In a large mixing bowl, mix together apples, blackberries, sugar and cornstarch
    4. Once thoroughly mixed, place into baking pan
    5. Press down to distribute evenly through pan
    6. Cover fruit with crisp topping, making sure every side and corner is covered
    7. Bake in oven for 35 - 40 minutes
    8. Remove from oven and let rest for 20 minutes before serving

    Crisp Topping


  • 3/4 Cup(s) Brown Sugar, packed
  • 3/4 Cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 1/4 Cup(s) Flour
  • 12 Table Spoon(s) Butter, cubed, very cold
  • Directions

    1. Using a standing mixer with a paddle attachment, mix together sugars and flour very well
    2. Slowly add cold butter a little bit at a time
    3. Once topping reaches a crumb consistency, stop mixing
