Description

Chef Amy's Banana Oatmeal Cookies are an easy and quick treat to make. It's a healthy treat your kids will love!


Ingredients

  • 3/4  Cup(s) Butter, Room Temperature
  • 1
  • 1  Cup(s) Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 2
  • 1  Each Large Egg
  • 3
  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) All Purpose Flour
  • 4
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Baking Soda
  • 5
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Cinnamon
  • 6
  • ¼  Tea Spoon(s) Nutmeg
  • 7
  • 1  Cup(s) Bananas, roughly mashed
  • 8
  • 1 3/4  Cup(s) Old Fashioned Oats - NOT QUICK OATS

Directions

    1. In mixing bowl add butter and brown sugar
    2. mix until sugar is dissolved into butter and lightens color about 4-5 mins
    3. Add egg and mix until mixed well
    4. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg together and add to butter sugar mixture
    5. mix until combined
    6. Scrap bowl to make sure everything is combined
    7. Add to mix bananas and oats
    8. mix only until just combined
    9. Drop teaspoonful onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper
    10. Bake at 375 F degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden brown around edges
    11. Remove tray from oven and let cookies cool on tray for about 5 minutes then remove cookies and let thoroughly cool.
