This is Pesto can be made with Fresh Basil or Arugula. It should be added at the end of the cooking process to keep its fresh color and flavor. Add it to Chef Harkness's Alfredo Sauce. Whether served hot or cold this Sauce lends its flavor to steak, chicken, fish and vegetarian dishes.


  • 1  Each Bunch of Basil

  • 1/4  Cup(s) Pine Nuts
  • 2
  • 4  Each Cloves Garlic
  • 3
  • 1  Cup(s) Parmesan Cheese
  • 4
  •  To Taste Salt and Pepper
  • 5
  • 1  Cup(s) Olive Oil

    1. In a large bowl, float the basil leaves to remove dirt, roll them in paper towels to dry
    2. Puree the basil and all other ingredients in a blender
    3. Adjust seasonings
