Braised Endive with Apples

Description
Tender braised Endive with Sweet Apples and Dried Fruit.
Ingredients
- 1 Each Apple
- 2 Each Endive
- 3 Table Spoon(s) Raisins, or any dried fruit
- 1 As Needed Salt
- 1 As Needed Pepper
- 2 Table Spoon(s) Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Table Spoon(s) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Tea Spoon(s) Butter
- 1/2 Cup(s) Apple Cider
Directions
- Trim endive and cut in half
- Season with salt and pepper
- Heat oil and butter in pan and sear flat side of endive
- Slice and add apples and dried fruit
- Deglaze with the vinegar, let reduce then add the cider
- When the cider comes to a boil, cover and place in oven for 15 minutes
- Remove from oven and serve
