Description

Tender braised fennel. Strips of tasty fennel simmered in chicken stock and finished in butter. Great side dish that goes well with all entrees.


Ingredients

  • 1  Each Fennel Bulb, cut into strips
  • 1
  • 2  Cup(s) Chicken Stock
  • 2
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Butter
  • 3
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Parsley, chopped
  • 4
  • 1  To Taste Salt, kosher
  • 5
  • 1  To Taste Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 6

Directions

    1. Cover fennel with chicken stock and simmer for 4 minutes or until tender
    2. Drain stock off of fennel and add butter to fennel
    3. Let simmer in butter until tender 3 to 5 minutes
    4. Mix in chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper
    5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed
