Description

This is a homemade Calzone. Basic pizza dough filled with a creamy cheese mixture and any topping you wish.


Ingredients

  • 1  Each Basic Pizza Dough
  • 1
  • 1  Cup(s) Ricotta
  • 2
  • 1  Each Egg Yolk
  • 3
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Parsley , chopped
  • 4
  •  To Taste Tomato Sauce
  • 5
  • 2  Ounce(s) Weight Ham or Pepperoni (or both)
  • 6
  •  As Needed Mozzerella
  • 7
  • 1  As Needed Parmesan Cheese
  • 8
  •  To Taste Garlic Powder
  • 9
  •  To Taste Salt & Pepper
  • 10
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Olive Oil (to coat)

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
    2. Cut the dough into quarters and form them into round circles, let rest for 10 minutes
    3. Roll each quarter dough into a flat disk, 7-8" in diameter
    4. Place a portion of the cheese, meat and seasonings onto one half of the dough
    5. Fold the dough over to create a half moon shape
    6. Twist the edges around and tuck the final piece under the bottom
    7. Brush with oil
    8. Bake for 20 - 30 minutes or until golden brown
