Chicken Korma

Description
Chicken Korma is a classic Indian dish where chicken is simmered in a creamy fragrant sauce with onion, garlic, ginger and cashews.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 Pound(s) Chicken Breast, cut into pieces
- 3 Table Spoon(s) Onion, diced
- 3 Table Spoon(s) Tomato, diced
- 2 Table Spoon(s) Fresh Ginger, julienned
- 2 Each Garlic Cloves, minced
- To Taste Salt
- To Taste Pepper
- 1 Tea Spoon(s) Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tea Spoon(s) Garam Masala
- 2 Table Spoon(s) Cashew Paste (cashews ground up with milk)
- 2 Table Spoon(s) Heavy Cream
- 2 Tea Spoon(s) Oil
- 1 Table Spoon(s) Cumin Seeds
- To Taste Chili Powder
- 1/2 Cup(s) Water
- 1/4 Cup(s) Whole Cashews
- Pinch Fenugreek Spice
- As Needed Fresh Cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
- In a hot sauté pan add oil & cumin seeds
- When cumin seeds begin to pop add onions, allow the onions to caramelize
- Add ginger, keep mixing to not burn
- Add garlic, tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, water and stir
- Add chicken and stir, add a little of water if needed
- Cook for 7-10 minutes, ensure chicken is fully cooked
- Add cashew nut paste, heavy cream, whole cashew nuts, garam masala, fenugreek, mix
- Keep on heat for a minute to ensure mixture is hot
- Garnish with cashew nuts, raisins, cilantro, heavy cream & enjoy!
