Description

Basic chicken stock with great chicken flavor.


Ingredients

  • 14  Pound(s) Chicken Bones or Backs and Necks
  • 1
  • 8  Quart(s) Water
  • 2
  • 1  Pound(s) Onions
  • 3
  • ½  Pound(s) Carrots
  • 4
  • ½  Pound(s) Celery
  • 5
  • 2  Each Bay Leaf
  • 6
  • 8  Each Sprigs of Parsley
  • 7
  • 1  Each Sprig of Thyme
  • 8
  • 5  Each Pepper Corns
  • 9

Directions

    1. Place all ingredients in a pot.
    2. If water does not cover all items in pot by 3 inches add more water until it does.
    3. Bring to boil.
    4. Lower heat until slow lazy simmer.
    5. Let simmer for 6-8 hours.
    6. Skim and strain.
    7. Store in a refrigerator or freezer until needed.
