Clam Sauce: Mom Harkness Recipe

Description
This is the clam sauce I grew up eating. My mom would use the seasoned progresso clams in the juice and kept it real simple. Thanks Mom!
Ingredients
- 2 Cup(s) Clams, chopped
- 2 Cup(s) Clam Juice
- 1/2 Cup(s) Butter
- To Taste Salt and Pepper
- 4 Each Garlic Cloves
- To Taste Oregano
Directions
- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a medium sauce pan
- Add the garlic and very lightly brown
- Add the clam juice, chopped clams and the rest of the butter
- Season with oregano, if dried use very little
- Simmer for 10 minutes
- Remove half the sauce
- Add the pasta to the remaining sauce and Simmer so the pasta and the sauce become one
- Pour pasta into a bowl and either cover with remaining sauce or serve extra sauce on the side
