Description

This is a great tasting sweet corn bread. Baked in a cast iron pan. Watch Chef Jesse and make this easy corn bread that will wow them every time.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/3  Cup(s) Cake Flour
  • 1
  • 2/3  Cup(s) Yellow Corn Meal
  • 2
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Corn Flour
  • 3
  • 5  Table Spoon(s) Baking Powder
  • 4
  • 1/3  Cup(s) Sugar
  • 5
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Salt
  • 6
  • 1 1/3  Cup(s) Butter Milk
  • 7
  • 5  Table Spoon(s) Butter, melted
  • 8
  • 1  Each Egg
  • 9
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Vegetable Oil
  • 10
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Honey (optional)

  • 1  As Needed Nonstick Cooking Spray

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl
    3. Mix the wet ingredients in a different bowl
    4. Mix wet and dry ingredients together, do not over Mix just stir in until incorporated
    5. Spray a cast iron pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    6. Place batter into the pan and smooth out
    7. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, check after 25 minutes
    8. When the center is no longer wet, check with a wooden skewer
    9. Let cool, cut and serve
