Description

A very popular Middle Eastern dip made from pureed chickpeas and tahini. It makes a healthy snack or appetizer served with pita or vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1  Quart(s) Chickpeas
  • 1
  • 3  Tea Spoon(s) Salt
  • 2
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Cumin
  • 3
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Heavy Cream
  • 4
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Blended Oil (Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Canola Oil)

  • 2  Fluid ounce(s) Lemon Juice
  • 6
  • 4  Each Garlic Cloves, chopped
  • 7
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Tahini, stirred from bottom

Directions

    1. Add chickpeas, garlic and tahini to food processor and puree
    2. Add lemon juice and let mix
    3. Slowly add oil then heavy cream
    4. Season with salt and cumin
    5. Taste and Season if necessary
