Description

Dense cake with sweet seasoned crumbs, just like the bakery. A sweet breakfast treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2  Cup(s) Butter, at room temperature
  • 1
  • 2/3  Cup(s) Granulated Sugar
  • 2
  • 1 1/2  Cup(s) All Purpose Flour, sifted
  • 3
  • 2  Tea Spoon(s) Baking Powder
  • 4
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Salt
  • 5
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Vanilla Extract
  • 6
  • 1  Each Egg, large
  • 7
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Milk
  • 8
  •  As Needed Powdered Sugar (for garnish)

Directions

    1. Preheat oven o 325 degrees.
    2. Cream butter with sugar.
    3. Add vanilla and whisk until smooth.
    4. Add egg and milk, whisk until smooth.
    5. Add flour.
    6. Add the baking powder and the salt, whisk until smooth and the batter is formed.
    7. Pour cake into shallow, greased and dusted baking pan, add crumb to top.
    8. Bake for 20 minutes.
    9. Remove cake from oven and let cool.
    10. dust with powdered sugar.cake.

    Crumb Topping

    Ingredients

  • 1 Cup(s) Butter, softened
  • 1 Cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 Cup(s) Flour
  • ½ Tea Spoon(s) Salt
  • 3 Tea Spoon(s) Cinnamon
  • Directions

    1. in a bowl, add butter, sugar, flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and the cinnamon.
    2. Using your hands start to combine the mixture, and create crumbs
    3. Work the mixture by grabbing it with your hands and rubbing the mix to create crumbs
    4. This process will take about twenty minutes
