Simmered Blackberries with Sugar and Vermouth served with lightly sweetened Fresh Ricotta Cheese. A Simple and versatile dessert or event breakfast!


  • 1  Cup(s) Blackberries

  • 3  Table Spoon(s) Sugar
  • 2
  • 3/4  Cup(s) Sweet Vermouth
  • 3
  • 1 1/4  Cup(s) Fresh Ricotta Cheese
  • 4
  • 1/3  Cup(s) Fresh Whipped Cream, sweetened
  • 5
  • 2  Each Biscotti, for garnish

    1. In a sauce pan, simmer berries, vermouth, and sugar until liquid reduces and berries just start to let out juices
    2. Let mixture cool and reserve in the refrigerator
    3. mix the ricotta cheese and whipped cream together
    4. Place ricotta and cream mixture in a glass or bowl and top with chilled berries and syrup
    5. Garnish with biscotti or any type of light cookie
