Description

A simple sauce made with sesame oil, garlic, ketchup, sugar and vinegar. Great to use as a dip for fried wontons, dumplings or egg rolls.


Ingredients

  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Garlic, minced
  • 1
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Sesame Oil
  • 2
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Ketchup
  • 3
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Vinegar
  • 4
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Sugar
  • 5
  • ¼  Cup(s) Water
  • 6
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Corn Starch
  • 7

Directions

    1. In a saute pan, heat sesame oil
    2. Add garlic and saute until just lightly golden
    3. Add ketchup, vinegar and sugar
    4. In a cup, mix together water with corn starch until corn starch is completely dissolved to make a slurry
    5. Add the slurry to the saute pan and mix until combined and sauce is thickened
    6. Taste and season if necessary
