Description

Popular Middle-Eastern specialty of chickpeas and spices fried up into balls or patties. Serve in a pita with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, tahini sauce and/or tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 9  Cup(s) Chick Peas, soaked
  • 1
  • 1 ½  Table Spoon(s) Ground Cumin
  • 2
  • 1 ½  Table Spoon(s) Ground Coriander
  • 3
  • 1 ½  Table Spoon(s) Red Pepper Flakes
  • 4
  •  To Taste Salt and Pepper
  • 5
  • 1 ½  Tea Spoon(s) Baking Powder
  • 6
  • 2  Each Handfuls of Parsley
  • 7
  • 1  Each Handful of Cilantro
  • 8
  •  As Needed Oil (for frying)

Directions

    1. Add all ingredients to a food processor and grind to combine
    2. Create football shaped fritters
    3. Fry in 375 degrees oil until golden brown
