Description

This is a healthy take on a Southern classic. Stewed Green Beans with Crispy Turkey Bacon. Goes well with everything.


Ingredients

  • 2  Cup(s) Green Beans, ends trimmed
  • 1
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Turkey Bacon, medium dice
  • 2
  • 3  Table Spoon(s) Shallots, minced
  • 3
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Garlic, minced
  • 4
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Grape Seed Oil
  • 5
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Red Wine Vinegar
  • 6
  • 1  Pinch Black Pepper
  • 7
  • 6  Fluid ounce(s) Chicken Stock
  • 8

Directions

    1. Heat oil in a saute pan
    2. Add turkey bacon
    3. Add shallots, let sweat out for 2 minutes then add garlic
    4. Once you smell the garlic cooking, add green beans and toss
    5. Add vinegar and let reduce, season with pepper
    6. Add chicken stock, cover and let simmer for 8 to 10 minutes
    7. Serve and enjoy!
