Description

This is the proper way to cook dry beans. Zane will have you cooking dry beans of all varieties.


Ingredients

  • 1  Pound(s) Dry Beans
  • 1
  •  As Needed Water (to cover beans by 6" for soaking)
  • 2
  •  As Needed Water (for cooking beans cover by 6')
  • 3
  • 1  Each Carrot
  • 4
  • 1  Each Onion
  • 5
  • 2  Each Bay Leaf
  • 6
  •  To Taste Salt & Pepper
  • 7

Directions

    1. Soak beans overnight.
    2. Drain beans and rinse then place in pot.
    3. Cover beans with water and add aromatics.
    4. Simmer beans for 2 hours.
    5. Check and keep covered with water during the cooking.
    6. When beans are tender, drain them and remove aromatics.
    7. Dress in oil and store, covered in refrigerator.
