Sautéing is a method of cooking food that uses a small amount of fat in a shallow pan over relatively high heat. Ingredients are usually cut into pieces or thinly sliced to facilitate fast cooking.
- As Needed oil/fat with a high smoke point (olive oil)
- Coat the bottom of the pan with oil until it is just about covered, ensure your pan is hot. Then put in your ingredients. Also ensure there is enough room in the pan, do not over crowd. Practice flipping with a piece of toast or well done egg.
