Description

An original New Orleans muffelata sandwich consisting of a round loaf of Italian bread, covered with a marinated olive salad and layers of Italian cheeses and meats.


Ingredients

  • 1  Each Italian Loaf, large and round
  • 1
  • 1  Cup(s) Olive Salad
  • 2
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Ham, sliced
  • 3
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Salami, sliced
  • 4
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Mortadella, sliced
  • 5
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Provolone, sliced
  • 6
  • 1/4  Pound(s) Mozzarella, sliced
  • 7
  • 5  Table Spoon(s) Olive oil
  • 8

Directions

    1. To make the muffaletta sandwich cut the bread in half, horizontally.
    2. Spread with olive oil on both sides of bread.
    3. Spread half with olive salad then layer on cheese then meats.
    4. Slice into quarters and serve.

  • 1/2 Cup(s) Pickled Vegetables, jarred
  • 1/2 Cup(s) Black & Green Olives, pitted
  • 1 Tea Spoon(s) Italian Seasoning, dried
  • 1 Table Spoon(s) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
