Description

This is a golden pound cake that has many applications or is delicious on its own. Great with fresh whipped cream, fruit or ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/3  Cup(s) All Purpose Flour, sifted
  • 1
  • 1  Cup(s) Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2
  • 5  Each Eggs, large
  • 3
  • 1 1/3  Cup(s) Granulated Sugar
  • 4
  • 1 ½  Tea Spoon(s) Baking Powder
  • 5
  • ½  Table Spoon(s) Almond Extract
  • 6
  • 1  Pinch Kosher Salt
  • 7

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 325F degrees
    2. Cream butter and sugar
    3. Whisk in eggs one at a time to combine until all are incorporated
    4. Scrape bowl and mix again
    5. Add sifted flour, baking powder, salt and almond extract, halfway through scraping the bowl
    6. Grease a 9"x9" cake pan and Grease it with butter or spray with nonstick spray then dust with sugar
    7. Add batter to pan
    8. Bake for 1 hour
    9. Let cake rest for 10 minutes before cutting
