Description

Great sweet apple dessert without the pie, yummy!


Ingredients

  • 7  Each Rome Apples, peeled, cored, quarter sliced
    • 1
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Cinnamon
    • 2
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Sugar or Splenda
    • 3
  •  As Needed Raspberry or Blueberry Syrup
    • 4
  • 1  Pint (s) Vanilla Ice Cream
    • 5
  • 4  Each Pound Cake, crumbled into pieces
    • 6
  • 6  Each Strawberries, thinly sliced
    • 7
  •  As Needed Brown Sugar Crisp
    • 8

Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
    2. In a large bowl, mix apples, cinnamon and sugar
    3. Bake for 30 minutes or until soft, do not let the top burn
    4. To assemble, drizzle raspberry syrup into a dessert bowl
    5. Add pound cake, strawberries, ice cream and hot apples
    6. Crumble brown sugar crisp on top
    7. Serve and enjoy!

    Brown Sugar Crisp

    Ingredients

  • 4 Table Spoon(s) Butter
  • 1/4 Cup(s) Brown Sugar

    • Directions

    1. In a sauce pan, melt butter & add brown sugar
    2. Pat brown sugar into the butter like a pancake
    3. Continue heating the brown sugar until it caramelizes, turn off the heat and let harden
