Directions
- Heat a pot of oil to 375 degrees
- In a bowl, mix together onion slices with garlic paste, ginger, cilantro, salt, pepper, turmeric powder, garam masala, cayenne powder, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and gram flower
- Slowly add water to get the right consistency
- Make sure the onion slices are well coated, avoid using excess water
- Shape about two tablespoons of the mixture into balls and drop into the oil
- Keep moving in the oil to ensure all sides cook and you get an even color
- Deep fry until golden, avoid burning or allowing it to brown
- When cooked, drain the excess oil on a sheet of paper towels and serve hot
