The correct way to open oysters and how to use the right tool for the job.
- As Needed Oysters
- Before opening Ice the oysters down.
- Wash, dry and secure the oyster with a rag.
- Place tip of knife in back joint and wiggle it loose.
- Rub knife along the top of the shell to release the membrane.
- Release the oyster from the bottom of the shell.
