Panko Crusted Tofu

Description
Panko crusted tofu pan-fried in sesame oil then drizzled with Miranda's Maple Teriyaki Sauce. A delicious appetizer or entree even if you're not a vegetarian!
Ingredients
- 2 Cup(s) Panko Bread Crumbs
- 1 Pound(s) Tofu, extra firm, pressed of all moisture
- 1 1/2 Cup(s) Sesame Oil
- 3 Table Spoon(s) Maple Teriyaki Sauce
- 1 Tea Spoon(s) Chives, chopped
Directions
- Cut the tofu into 8 even rectangular portions
- Firmly press tofu into the panko on both sides
- Heat sesame oil in a pan with high sides
- Pan-fry each tofu for 4 minutes
- Remove and place onto paper towels to drain excess oil
- Cut each tofu piece on the bias and place on plate
- Drizzle with maple sesame teriyaki glaze and garnish with chives
