Description

Alu (Potato) and Gobi (Cauliflower) cooked with ginger and spices, delicious!


Ingredients

  • 1  Each Potato, medium sized
  • 1
  • ½  Each Cauliflower Head, chopped
  • 2
  • ½  Each Onion, chopped
  • 3
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Fresh Ginger, chopped
  • 4
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Garlic, minced
  • 5
  • 1  Each Tomato, diced
  • 6
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Cumin seeds
  • 7
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Fresh Cilantro, chopped
  • 8
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Turmeric Powder
  • 9
  •  To Taste Salt
  • 10
  •  To Taste Pepper
  • 11
  •  As Needed Oil
  • 12

Directions

    1. In a pot of boiling water, add a pinch of salt and turmeric powder
    2. Add cauliflower to pot
    3. Let cook for a few minutes, do not let it get mushy
    4. boil the potatoes until soft
    5. Peel the potatoes and cut it into chunks
    6. In a sauté pan, add oil and cumin seeds
    7. Add onions and ginger
    8. Add cauliflower and potatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, turmeric powder, cilantro and tomatoes
    9. Let cook for a few minutes, serve & enjoy!

I love indian food!

Alu gobi and chick pea is a disaster. i have never seen a recipe like this. this is not even close to traditional cooking.
