Description

This is a Great Summer salad. Make it the Sazon way or substitute your own toppings. The dressing is sweet and spicy. Very Refreshing!


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2  Quart(s) Salad Mix, lightly packed
  • 1
  • 1  Each Avocado, peeled and sliced
  • 2
  • 1  Each Tomato, sliced
  • 3
  • 1  Each Cucumber, peeled, seeded, diced
  • 4
  • ½  Each Red Onion, thinly sliced
  • 5
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Chickpeas, cooked
  • 6
  • 3/4  Cup(s) Shrimp, cooked (any size will do)
  • 7
  •  As Needed Oregano, fresh or dried (for garnish)

Directions

    1. Top mixed greens with vegetables and shrimp as you wish
    2. Dress the salad with the Orange Vinaigrette dressing
    3. Finish with fresh or dried oregano

    Orange Vinaigrette

    Ingredients

  • 1 Each Orange, zested and peeled
  • 1/2 Cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 ½ Table Spoon(s) Sesame Oil
  • ½ Tea Spoon(s) Red Pepper Flakes
  • 3 Table Spoon(s) Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 4 Table Spoon(s) Water
  • 1 Cup(s) Blended Oil, 75% neutral / 25% olive
  • To Taste Salt, Pepper, Oregano
  • Directions

    1. Place all but the 1 cup of oil in a blender, puree until smooth
    2. While blending, slowly pour in oil in a steady stream
    3. Taste and season with salt, pepper and oregano
