Description

Lightly seared tuna diced and dressed with a soy marinade topped with a chunky avocado salad.


Ingredients

  • 1/2  Pound(s) Fresh Tuna Loin
  • 1
  • 1  Each Avocado (ripe)
  • 2
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 3
  • 1  To Taste Salt and Pepper
  • 4
  • 3  Table Spoon(s) Soy Sauce, light
  • 5
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Sesame Oil
  • 6
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 7
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Sesame Seeds
  • 8
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Garlic Oil
  • 9
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Olive Oil

Directions

    1. Rub tuna with olive oil
    2. In a smoking hot pan, sear both sides well
    3. Remove tuna from pan
    4. Dice tuna and dress with soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar and sesame seeds
    5. Mix up tuna and marinade well and adjust with salt and pepper
    6. Scoop avocado out of skin, add the garlic oil, diced peppers, salt and pepper
    7. Mash well with a fork and season with salt and pepper to taste
    8. Place ring mold on plate
    9. Place tuna mixture inside mold and tap down with a spoon
    10. Place the avocado mixture on top of the tuna and remove the ring mold
    11. Garnish with chives and chips or rice crackers
