Description

This tasty unique Appetizer is quick and easy. Sauteed Shrimp in a seasoned cream sauce with a hint of tequila and agave sweetness. Has a Great Presentation.


Ingredients

  • 6  Each Shrimp (size 16-20)
  • 1
  • 1  Table Spoon(s) Butter
  • 2
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Cumin
  • 3
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Coriander
  • 4
  • 1  Tea Spoon(s) Smoked paprika
  • 5
  • 1/4  Cup(s) Red Onion, diced
  • 6
  • 1/4  Cup(s) Tomato, diced
  • 7
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Tequila
  • 8
  • 1/2  Cup(s) Heavy cream
  • 9
  •  To Taste Salt and Pepper
  • 10
  • 2  Cup(s) Field Greens, lightly packed
  • 11
  • 2  Table Spoon(s) Cilantro, roughly chopped
  • 12
  • ½  Tea Spoon(s) Agave Syrup
  • 13
  • 3  Each Corn Husks
  • 14
  • 6  Each Skewers

Directions

    1. Heat pan and skewer shrimp
    2. Add butter to pan to melt
    3. Add cumin, coriander and paprika and mix well
    4. Add shrimp and start cooking on one side
    5. When shrimp is half way cooked, add red onion and tomato
    6. Cook out for 2 minutes then deglaze with the tequila
    7. Burn off alcohol until flame is gone
    8. Add heavy cream and let simmer for 6 minutes, it will thicken a bit
    9. Season with salt and pepper and agave syrup, mix well
    10. Tie corn husks in to the display bundle and place on plate with field greens
    11. When shrimp is finished cooking, place on the corn husks
    12. Taste sauce and Season
    13. Pour over shrimp
    14. Finish with cilantro
    15. ENJOY!
